Collins Aerospace is looking for qualified interns to join our Quality team. In this assignment, the interns will implement and assist with the key initiatives of Quality organization. Candidates will be able to work full-time depending on school schedule or school year breaks. The internships will take place across varying locations in the U.S. within the Quality organization at Collins Aerospace (location depends on business needs).

Candidate will support Operations Quality Engineering team for Windsor Locks, CT Air Management Systems Aerospace product.

Quality internship in Air Management Systems in Windsor Locks, CT  working as a quality engineer supporting  production operations.   General responsibilities include support of shop working quality investigations and projects to resolve issues to support the assembly and shipment of product

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in customer product quality escape investigations
  • Support customer quality escape reduction activities and projects
  • Work with operations Quality Engineering team to support shop floor quality investigations
  • Participate in Manufacturing Process reviews
  • Support defect reduction activity through defect trending and process improvement projects.
  • Support Zero Defect Plan, ZDP, process improvement projects.
  • Support customer return material disposition and tracking

Education:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a technical field such as, but not limited to: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Related engineering field of study

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • Must have a Minimum 30 credit hours or higher in an accredited university
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a technical field such as, but not limited to: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Related engineering field of study
  • ●      Requires US citizenship or permanent residence (green card).

  • Ability to multi-task with good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset; proactive in meeting business and customer needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication & teamwork
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Resourceful
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Outlook.
