Essential Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op may be responsible for:

  • Development and management of one or more manufacturing processes
  • Development and implementation of automation projects
  • Process Control data collection and analysis
  • Suggesting process changes to improve process control and quality
  • Collection and analysis of Quality data
  • Collection and analysis of turnbacks
  • Learning ME tools (e.g. Solumina, SAP)
  • Creation of Rework Orders

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
  • Must be willing to work 40 hours per week
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” Holder

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop strategy
  • Teamwork & Collaboration

Working Environment

  • A culminating presentation will be required at the end of the session, reflecting on experiences and knowledge gained from the business.
  • 90% of time will be spent on a shop floor (with loud machines, hot temperatures in summer months)
