Role Overview
This position is for an Established contracts professional for the Repairs Department reporting into the Legal Department with direct interaction with Operations and Customer Service. Performs analysis and generates complex proposals and contract documents. Makes improvements to functional processes to ensure the organization's compliance and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Drafts, generates, interprets and manages complex proposals and contract documents, in accordance with internal and external requirements and schedules, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
• Partners with contract managers in coordinating and analyzing input from other organizations during sales campaigns and negotiation processes.
• Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
• Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.
• Creates proposals, negotiates and executes contracts.
• Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration.
• Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.
• Prepares legal applications for warranty and new contracts, as needed.
• Maintains historical legal records.


Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. 
  • In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to compose contractual documentation
  • Ability to interpret and summarize complex terms and requirements
  • Driven individual possessing high organizational skills with limited direction
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interfacing with customers from commercial and/or military industries id desirable
  • Familiarity with military programs or contracts is highly desirable
  • Negotiation skills are preferred
  • Aerospace industry experience is preferred
  • FAR & DFAR knowledge is preferred
