This position is for a Structures Engineering professional in the wheel and brake engineering organization. This individual will perform structural engineering analysis, oversee structural related testing, and provide design recommendations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide structural analysis, evaluation and documentation in support of the commercial, regional, business, and military product value streams through all stages of the product life cycle (i.e. design, analysis, test & field support)

  • Coordinate analytical findings with Project, Design, & CAD functions in compliance with internal and external customer and regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering

  • Familiarity with design and analysis of metallic components under dynamic and static loadings relative to deflection, fatigue and fracture. Linear, non-linear, and system modeling proficiency with CAE software platforms (UGNX, ANSYS, etc.).

  • Strain gage test and data analysis experience

  • Experience writing technical reports

  • Programming experience
