Looking for a highly motivated individual to fulfill an opening as a Staff Engineer in our Supplier Quality organization with specific focus on Engineered Items comprising primarily electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies supporting the Training & Mission Solutions portfolio including Strategic Command and Control, Electronic Warfare and Joint Fires/Targeting Solutions, and Test and Training Instrumentation. Candidates should possess experience in Supplier Management with manufactured products, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Root Cause and Corrective Action, Continuous Improvement, Data Analysis, Specification Review, Inspection Methods, strong understanding of GD&T as well as Project Management including team facilitation. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills and an overall strong quality focus. They must be able to work within cross-functional teams including Program Management and Subcontracts Management to meet and improve upon program established quality and delivery goals.
Lead Supplier performance management for assigned Program Engineered Items by analyzing performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving actions on supplier development
Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims
Engage Program Management and Subcontracts Management and lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to program, department, and organizational goals
Preventing/Minimizing business impact from supplied material defects; supplier quality risk mitigation
Submitting, reviewing, coaching, accepting supplier corrective action requests
SME and mentor to lead on-site supplier engagements, including performance reviews, process walks and Quality System audits
Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes
Exercise independent judgment methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Leadership within supplied material performance organizational strategies and development / enhancement of Supplier Quality standard work
Influence supplier selection

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required. STEM highly preferred.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
Experience with manufactured products incorporating assemblies of primarily electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
Experience with AS9100 or ISO9000, Quality Management System (QMS) standards
Supplier Management, Project Management and Change Management experience
Expertise in manufacturing Special Processes & related industry organizations (Nadcap)
Competence in conducting root cause analysis for moderate to complex nonconformities and implementation of effective corrective action
Experience with continuous improvement, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.
Experience in conducting supplier audits
Strong interpersonal skills - able to influence others at all levels within an organization
Strong presentation skills - able to analyze and present data to all levels of leadership internally and externally
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
