Performs Non-Destructive testing utilizing x-ray liquid penetrants, magnetic particle, Eddy current and ultrasonic techniques as certified (FARS, RSM, SBs, Ads, etc.). Evaluates inspection data, interprets inspection findings/results, and records inspection results on approved documents.
Performs on-site NDT inspections on all OEM or aftermarket components (nozzles, vane rings, blades, etc.)
Supports Quality Control of all Walbar NDT procedures.
Ensures all NDT inspection documentation is properly completed, organized, and stored to support inspections and audits.
Maintains professional interactions with customers, external auditors, inspection, and supervisory personnel.
Conducts NDT training and surveillance of Walbar NDT personnel.
Maintains NDT related equipment to ensure Ready for Issue (RFI) status.
Works with the Walbar Quality Compliance Manager and Engineering team members to generate and qualify Walbar NDT procedures and personnel qualifications.
Reviews inspection, weld/braze requirements to determine whether existing approved Walbar NDT inspection procedures are applicable.
Conducts quality assurance audits of NDT related projects.
Maintains awareness of new and emerging NDT technology.
Works to continuously improve–in all aspects–the NDT program at Walbar.
HS diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience OR
In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
5 years of experience in the NDT industry
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Hold current ASNT NDT Level III (PT, MT, RT) qualifications
Experience reading and interpreting technical data and customer specifications
Experience with MIL-SPEC, MIL-STD, and ASNT
Microsoft Office Suite
Hold current ASNT NDT Level II UT preferred
Ability to produce detailed written reports and give oral presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint) to perspective clients.
Sensitivity to company proprietary information.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to resolve conflicts with modest supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills to work and communicate with highly technical personnel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
