The Ground Support Equipment Specialist is a member of a fast-paced team dedicated to the highest levels of customer service to drive results for Collins Aerospace.

The Ground Support Equipment Specialist is an experience specialist in Product and Technical Service.  The Specialist responds to customer calls, provides training to customers and performs data analysis.  The Specialist consistently adjusts their work procedures to ensure high level performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responds to customer calls, develops appropriate documentation and response plan for resolution of issues and sends issue to appropriate level to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Uses technical knowledge to troubleshoot basic customer issues.
  • Performs data mining, gathers, and analyzes data to improve efficiency in products and support equipment.
  • Coordinates with Service Engineering representatives to identify customer training and support needs.
  • Resolves issues surrounding installation, usage, upgrade and training on support equipment.
  • Provides on-site support as needed.
  • Completes proper documentation of issues.
  • Provides technical support to Depot mechanics on a variety of engineering tasks.
  • Manages troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolutions of malfunctions with tooling, test equipment and other support equipment
  • Manages test stand uptime data
  • Conducts gold unit testing on regular intervals to maintain gold unit baseline
  • Responsible for validation of new support equipment and CMM write ups
  • Formal trainer on new processes and support equipment
  • Manages preventative maintenance of support equipment
  • Works with onsite Calibration folks to maintain support equipment calibration certs.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a US Person, includes Green Card Holders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical schematics background
  • Experience using Excel
  • Aerospace Mechanic Experience
  • Aerospace Test Equipment Experience
