We are looking for strong Repair Technicians on 2nd shift in our Monroe, NC facility, one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company.
Performs disassembly, assembly, and operates production equipment responsible for repair and overhaul of complex aerospace components. Follows blueprints, guidelines, technical data, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish work including testing, in depth trouble-shooting, assembling, disassembling, cleaning, detailed inspection, and final prep operations on a significant number of components & accessories using company approved technical data. Responsible for test acceptance processes of Collins products.
Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions.
Utilize variety of electronic, mechanical, Hydromechanical equipment- including but not limited to , precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, multimeters, etc.)
Ability to read schematics.
Perform entry level troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.
Participate on project teams.
Perform task prioritization
Works with engineers to analyze and resolve manufacturing test problems.
Assist with eliminating/reducing test defects and improve test yields
Follows established test procedures and processes to support sub-assembly and top-level testing.
Interacts with other functional groups (e.g. engineering) on routine technical matters.
Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.
Support activities through the resolution of problems and preparation and maintenance of documentation.
Manage work flow throughout area to achieve team goals.
Evaluate and troubleshoot non-conformances.
Identify and correct minor process, material, design, or equipment
Follow company technical data and maintenance manuals (may include drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc)
Provide accurate recording of time changes, test data, parts usage, etc. This requires limited data interpretation.
Utilize multiple databases to create/use necessary information to provide information for decision making requiring limited judgment.
High school Diploma or equivalent
2-5 years in aerospace (or related field) mechanical experience preferred.
Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
Highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
Computer literate; able to utilize computer system to input and retrieve information (i.e. SAP, Fortis, Smart-solve, Outlook, Microsoft suite & other pertinent systems)
A & P License or FAA Repairman Certificate
