This position is to support the Project management activities of Collins Interiors.Manages medium to large projects with minimal guidance from engineering Leadership and PMO
  • Has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
  • Leads cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPT) within a matrix organization in the project development phases
  • Manages IPT activities within budget and schedule
  • Compiles project status reports for IPT and Program Management and escalate to Program Management as needed
  • Creates and modifies project plans and schedules
  • Creates WBS-elements, Earned Value plans, work package instructions and milestones
  • Defines, drives and executes project risk mitigation plans
  • Ensures capture and closure of project related action items
  • Identifies long lead parts and support parts procurement with NPI procurement
  • Drives failure reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions with Engineering
  • Ensures proper planning of Project execution schedule and maintain the schedule to control cost, schedule and quality.
  • Documents lessons learned to reflect both the positive and negative experiences of a project.
  • Ensures estimating and allocating the requirements of internal and external resources for each task from the start to the end of the project.
  • Define the roles & responsibities for the IPT members in the project
  • Measures a project's progress at any given point in time, forecasting its completion date and final cost, and analyzing variances in the schedule and budget by using Earned Value Analysis method
  • Plan and execute IPT stakeholder meetings
  • Ensures deliverables to internal and external customers are met

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with 6-8 years of related project management experience
PMP certified preferred
