For this position we seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us as a lead systems architect / engineer to support the design, development, verification & validation, and operational support of ECLSS and ATCS hardware.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of a complex & integrated ECLS System functional block diagram / schematic for both mechanical and electrical components
  • Executing system development trade studies and optimization
  • Development of concepts of operations
  • Developing product requirements at the system/component level for mechanical/electrical/software
  • Creating & executing system & component level verification planning & development testing
  • Perform high level steady-state thermal/fluid/chemical/electrical system modeling

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant component hardware experience: heat exchangers, pumps/fans/separators/motors/motor controllers, chemical beds, sensors, valves, accumulators
  • Relevant life support system experience: thermal control systems, air revitalization systems (CO2/H2O/trace contaminant removal), pressure control systems, human waste management systems or other equivalent systems
  • Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product development (IPD)  team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent writing & math skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 10 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree from an accredited institution and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is require
  • Must be a US Person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on hardware development program: proposal/development/manufacture/verification/operational support
  • Experience performing system development/integration/architecting as the lead for a complex integrated system with mechanical/electrical/software components
  • Experience performing rapid hardware development integration & testing in a lab environment
  • A bachelor's degree in science, technology. engineering, or mathematics from an accredited institution is preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
