HCA09: Interiors (Propulation) -Fairf 3530 Branscombe Road, Fairfield, CA, 94533 USAThis position manages the execution of Quality Engineering operational plans. May lead a team of primarily intermediate to experienced Quality Engineering professionals, or a team responsible for Quality Engineering for a smaller organization. Sets objectives and guides team on the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. Manages the implementation of corrective actions for design problems for internally produced products and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages Quality Engineering operational plans and initiatives with a direct impact on reducing non-conformities and ensuring quality standards are in effect.
Manages implementation of solutions to nonconformities and to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
Manages the development of new test and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
Manages processes to identify and manage risk in product development, utilizing UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
Manages Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and the development of recommendations for corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Provides oversight to ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management, including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
3 years of experience in leading Quality Assurance Engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
7 Years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry with organizations using and familiar with:
Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR)
AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Continuous Process Improvement, Lean, and 6 Sigma Tools
Material Review Board Process
Non-Conforming Material Process
Defense Contract Management Administration (DCMA)
AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
Non Destructive Testing (NDT)
