This position is primarily responsible for serving as a customer liaison for assigned Collins Aerospace customers and providing operational support of Collins Aerospace warranty department administrative activities.  The Collins Aerospace warranty department provides aircraft registration and warranty claim support services for a global customer base. The market focus is OEM’s, Airlines, Dealers, Distributors, and third-party repair shops. This position has direct responsibility for customer metrics such as on time delivery and customer acceptance/satisfaction. This role directly affects the relationship between the company and the customer.

Job Description:

  • Performs duties related to overall customer service including new aircraft warranty certificates and managing warranty claims requests.

  • Support global service and support team daily by answering and researching warranty related questions and issues.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality and consistency of service by documenting and identifying trends in customer service needs.

  • Performs onsite services for Aftermarket clients. Installs new equipment and services, maintains / services and upgrades existing equipment.

  • Provides instruction and education regarding products or equipment usage to customers and internal employees.

  • Designs and manages product training for customers and staff.

Basic Requirements:

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

  • OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required

  • OR A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a customer service environment with the ability to drive problems to resolution is a must.

  • Applicants must be able to work independently with little supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft tools required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Project).

  • Intermediate data analysis skills with the ability to effectively apply results in problem solving and decision making preferred.

  • Prior experience with SAP Business Warehouse tools and data modeling would be desirable but are not required.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of drive and creativity in order to provide Collins leadership with the necessary information to determine/execute both strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work closely will all levels of the organization on a regular basis, specifically Director level.
