Role Overview

This position for a senior professional with extensive knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Collins Built Test Equipment and OEM related units. This person provides technical guidance to team members and customers. Performs complex diagnostic procedures. Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical people that may include senior management. Contacts and meets customers on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Performs on-site services for new and existing customers, which may include equipment servicing and equipment evaluations for replacement applicability.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.
• Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter.
• Interprets test information and product software to resolve possible design/system-related problems and ensure continuous improvement.
• Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders that may include senior management and meets customers daily or as required to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided or outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, repairs and or replacement.
• Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and calibrating equipment. Assesses equipment needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conducts technical analysis of equipment implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
• Manages calibration service procedures by creating or modifying current documentation and automation software.

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.
• Provides expertise and assistance to comply with all quality policies and procedures.
• Acts as local on-site UTC representative to the customer's organization.
• Maintains accuracy requirements and uncertainty analysis for required equipment.



Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship required.
