Role Overview
This position is for an Entry-level professional in IT Infrastructure who works to support IT infrastructure projects, may participate in the development of reports outlining IT infrastructure issues, IT equipment installations, analysis focused on infrastructure updates and enhancements, and network interface planning activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development of single components or select phases of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to prepare reports regarding effectiveness of the current infrastructure.
  • Prepares the installation of operating systems, network and application software, and computer and network hardware.
  • Participates in the analyses of cost-benefit and return-on-investment to aid in systems selection and implementation decisions.
  • Supports the coordination of communication between engineers and end users regarding system capabilities and constraints and end user system requirements and difficulties.
  • Coordinates with system analysts to help define and resolve systems programming and integration issues.
  • Responsible for working with Lab Managers and End Users on hardware requests, understand the technical requirements, and provide a solution to meet their needs
  • Ability to work in a high volume ,fast paced environment
  • Work with the Digital Technology Technicians on PC refresh,resolving technical issues, and providing guidance on solutions
  • Responsible for maintaining computing hardware ordering, inventory, and issuing of computer related stock to technicians
  • Must be able to move computing hardware around in stockrooms utilizing pallet jacks
  • Must be customer focused and willing to assist others

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
