Job Description

Integrated Product Support (IPS); which encompasses systems engineering analyses and planning tasks for communication and aviation electronics solutions. Act as a core member of a program Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) providing advice, and product. Technical complexity will include the twelve elements of integrated product support, for electronic communications systems.

The candidate will work closely with Program Management, Technical Project Managers (TPMs), other Engineering disciplines (software, hardware, electrical, systems, RAM) and support staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of the product lifecycle.  This position is opened to remote opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work independently with limited oversight, including but not limited to performing integrated product support element activities for Programs, Projects, or Products.

  • Understand and employ processes and tools used to perform Obsolescence management (OM)/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).

  • Perform and develop Maintenance Planning.

  • Perform Life Cycle Cost/Cost of Ownership Analysis.

  • Perform Spares analysis

  • Perform Trade Studies to illustrate cost/benefit of various support scenarios (Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based Logistics)

  • Perform trade studies/business case analysis for Support trades through the programs lifecycle 

  • Perform and develop Level of Repair Analysis (LORA). 

  • Develop Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD).

  • Interpret engineering drawings and supportability requirements are met.

  • Coordinate and lead discussions with project managers and engineering managers on resources and priority to complete required deliverables.

  • Develop Technical Directives (TD); Time Compliance Change Orders (TCTO); and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Must possess or have the ability to a obtain a DoD security clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Strong support modelling experience using Excel

  • Strong working relationship with Maintainability, Reliability, and Testability functional groups.

  •  Experience working with customers to define requirements.

  • Ability to travel 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with engineering tools such as (Relex, SlicWave, Powerlog J, Compass, OPUS, CATLOC VMETRIC,  SysPAR).

  • Understand and employ processes and tools used to perform Obsolescence management (OM)/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).

  • Experience providing Supportability Engineering inputs to Logistics Management Information

  • Database and/or data science experience (Oracle, Access, Python, R-Squared)
