This position is for an Established Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to set and achieve objectives for own area of responsibility. Influences process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Product Quality Engineering.
  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
  • Develops proactive reduction and prevention plans of internal material defect occurrences
  • Provides on site support of customer, internal and third party regulatory audits
  • Responsible for development and enhancement of Quality Engineering standard work
  • Act as a leader for Root Cause Corrective Action investigations, tracking and closure
  • Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
  • Assist manufacturing with questions as it relates to inspection criteria and product requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams in solving problems, with the use of structured problem-solving tools.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities
  • Help drive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and three years of prior relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is Required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Positive technical and communication skills
  • Able to analyze and present data with clear conclusions and/or next steps
  • Able to review and interpret technical specifications
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiar with AS9100, or similar, Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lean Certified
  • Six Sigma Certified (ASQ SSGB or ASQ SSBB)
