The Advanced Solutions Program Manager is a true Value Stream Leader with responsibility across the entire life cycle from pursuit and order capture through business unit transition.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Support strategy discussions with Collins business development personnel; 

  • Engage with external customers; 

  • Coordinate with their counterparts in other parts of CNG; 

  • Provide guidance to the engineering organization developing the new solutions; and 

  • Lead the Integrated Product Teams executing programs and pursuits.

  • Ability to secure external funding from Science & Technology focused research organizations, such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL); Office of Naval Research (ONR); or US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC)

  • Ability to manage programs through the design and development of functional prototypes that can be used in laboratory and field demonstrations

  • Alignment with the CNG strategic and financial plan

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

  • US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

  • Have technical experience in one or more areas of interest to CNG

  • Be cognizant of project management fundamentals and processes used to monitor and control cost, schedule and technical performance 

  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced, Agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference for candidates who hold an active TS/SCI level clearance
