Role Overview
We are actively searching for a Mission Support Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert to the customer for all support requirements in a development, test, and operational support environment. Monitors the health and status of the equipment and responds to all issues related to the Collins Aerospace product. Responsible for maintaining complex customer’s systems to include integration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of corrective actions.



This position for an experienced Field Service professional. Improves direct communications with customers and field team members. Analyzes and interprets test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems. Develops specialized product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures. May contact and meet customers ona daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

Experience/Qualifications:

-Must have an active DoD Top Secret level security clearance to be considered for this position.

-Must be eligible for additional security requirements

-Must be an excellent problem solver and capable of providing viable courses of action to the customer based on timely assessment and analysis.

-Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, system data flow charts, and technical descriptions of the systems for troubleshooting purposes.

-Must be able to effectively use general and specialized test equipment to check-out and troubleshoot systems.


-Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and dedication working in a team environment.

Candidates with experience in avionic system maintenance strongly preferred.

UNIX/Linux system administration and scripting experience is desired.

This position is based out of Los Angeles County, CA.

This position requires approximately 30% travel with Worldwide Deployable Readiness Requirements


Qualifications

AS in a STEM field w/ 7+ years of applicable work experience

BS w/5+ year of applicable work experience

Security + Certification preferred
