Collins Aerospace is seeking an experience IT Asset Manager to aid in the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our global IT Asset Management program.    This role will focus on developing and maintaining processes, policies, standards, systems, and inventory that aid in the effective manage of our IT asset portfolio.  Working with Sr. leadership, key personnel, and our customers (both commercial and federal government) the incumbent will ensure hardware and software assets are managed in compliance with internal policies and established customer contracts. This position reports to the Director of IMS Operations and is based out of our Annapolis, MD office.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the inventory database and records of information such as licenses, locations, and warranties for the enterprises software and hardware
  • Ensure compliance with vendor contracts by carrying out effective planning and monitoring and working with hardware assets and software license.
  • Collecting, documenting, and maintaining inventory
  • Develop and implement IT Asset Management strategies, process and procedures, work instructions, and schedules
  • Review and approve documents and ensure site compliance with all applicable policies and regulations
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate all IMS policies and procedures on inventory, materials management, property management, and asset tagging
  • Assist and support any internal or external audits
  • Complete and maintain all required reporting to government and other customers
  • Champion and facilitate training of personnel
  • Manage the following compliance programs to comply with all FAR, DFARS, and other agency requirements related to federal, state, local, and commercial subcontracting, including developing templates and plans, tracking and reporting as required, and coordinating with Collins Aerospace compliance office: Small Business Subcontracting , Executive Compensation, Buy American Act
  • Be available to travel both domestically and internationally 10-25% of the time


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency requirements related to property management, small business, executive compensation, and other federal reporting requirements. 
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs. 
  • Exhibit full use of subject standard theories, techniques, concepts, and principles. 
  • Ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate personnel. 
  • Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 45.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Property Management Association Certification preferred.
  • Possess management, delegation, and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate personnel. 
  • Possess team building and facilitation skills. 
  • Possess solid communication and presentation skills. 
  • Exhibit full use of subject standard theories, techniques, concepts, and principles. 
  • Apply solid knowledge of advanced technical aspects of subject matter. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
