This role is responsible for supporting international operations with regard to financial audits, account reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial projects. This role requires a candidate with a strong tax background who can think strategically and is able to implement process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve VAT reports, Financial Statements and additional financial information and provide to external tax advisors

  • Review all tax related filings (VAT, Corporate Income tax, withholding, etc.) and ensure that they are submitted to the authorities on a timely basis.

  • Manage all tax related payments to the authorities

  • Prepare all tax related account reconciliations

  • Manage Intrastat processes

  • Determine all tax related obligations and set up registrations where required to support the expanding supply chain

  • Understand business operations and key foreign tax related issues

  • Liaise with [Corporate] Tax department on business VAT and Income Tax initiatives

  • Engage external advisors where required

  • Perform contracts reviews and ensure tax language is appropriate

  • Communicate foreign tax issues across all key stakeholders

  • Support implementation of appropriate financial procedures, policies, corporate accounting guidance and internal controls

  • Provide financial information and support to external advisors for indirect tax compliance such as sales & use and telecom tax. 

  • Local tax compliance and applicable filings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Understanding of VAT compliance

  • Ability to identify VAT process weaknesses and implement improvements

  • Understand the impact of taxes on the financial statements and business P/Ls, and identify opportunities to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results  

  • Ability to resolve complex VAT compliance issues, and recognize the need for  internal or external subject matter expertise

  • Possess technical skills

  • Possess analytical and automation skills

  • Must be able to multitask and be detail oriented

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a high growth environment with a rapidly changing organization

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR  an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR  In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
