This role is responsible for providing support for Business/Commercial Aviation Aircraft communication and cabin connectivity systems/services.
Be the initial point of contact and must take ownership as a support team representative in fact-finding, establishing vendor/provider relationships and issue resolution for both internal and external customers.
Prepare and provide technical reports and documents in issue resolution in a clear and concise manner to internal and external customers, which have varied levels of technical competencies.
Work well in dynamic environment training and mitigating problems to establish priority using escalation procedures.
Work on multiple issues and activities simultaneously, while providing root cause analysis in conjunction with escalation teams.
Provide conflict resolution, troubleshooting and customer service related skills.
Experience with Business/Commercial Aviation Aircraft communication and cabin connectivity systems/services. With interworking's of software-based applications and hardware, network infrastructure, wireless technology, embedded and real-time operating systems, mobile IP, broadband techniques and data structures, associated system security and open architectures.
Working knowledge and fundamental understanding of aircraft communications systems, including but not limited to ACARS and SATCOM systems in both the flight deck, telephony and cabin environments; including but not limited to Inmarsat, Iridium, ViaSat capable systems.
Self-starter with problem-solving, time management and issue prioritization skills, applicants must be able to self-manage and work independently as well as in a team.
Certificate in Networking/Related IT and/or prior experience with IP based routers and switches; CCENT, CCNA, Net+, Sec+.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree OR in the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Five (5) or more years of customer service, field service, or technical/engineering experience related to business aviation and/or avionics systems installed on aircraft.
Experience as an avionics maintenance technician, system troubleshooting and system verification testing.
Troubleshooting onboard cabin networks and telephony issues with various interfacing systems regarding cabin management.
Experience in aircraft completions, service centers or avionics technician with an authorized service center or repair facility.
Multi-lingual (Preferred: English/Spanish/French) with good sense of global and regional customs and courtesies, regional dialect is a plus.
